Shine

tisdag 18 februari 2014

Hi friends!
Here I had some fun with a couple of plastic pages from a notebook which I punched out some flowers and leaves from, with a couple of Memory Box dies.

I have also made my own flowers of some pieces of fabric from an old linen that I saved because the fabric is so beautiful. It feels good to be able to reuse things right?

But I started by coloring up the Kenny K Socialite stamp with my Copics. Then I stenciled on Distress Stain Brushed Pewter with the Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi Dots&Stripes Borders stencil. Next I heated in some Stampendous Aged Silver embossing pouder.

Then I stenciled the fluorishes with another Wendy Vecchi stencil in Weathered Wood Distress ink, for the word I used the Classic Words stencil and Black Soot ink.

The sentiment was made with one of the stamps from Whimsy Stamps Film Strip Sentiments collection, and then cut out with the Film Strip die. The papers I used are from Prima the Meadow Lark Collection. It was finished of with a pin, a metal corner and lace/colored in seam binding.
Thank you for taking the time to check in with me today, I appreciate it!
Hugs, Birgit

All These Men ...

lördag 15 februari 2014

Hi friends!
I hope you all got your share of chocolate, flowers, diamonds, good dinners or something else nice yesterday on Valentine's Day. Anyway, one thing is certain "Sweden had not been the same without men like you..."

I like this male theme, and I was so inspired by some pictures in a magazine with old tractors, plows and men some time ago that I cut out a few of them to use for some cards.

I have also used:
Paper: The wood backside of "Flower Song" Fairy Rhymes Collection from Prima. Some other leftover paper pieces.
Stamps: Tree - Crafty Individuals, Framed words - Darkroom Door, High Quality - Eline´s Winter Huis, the Swedish text was written on my old typewriter.
Die: Shapeabilities Nested Lacey Pennants   Embossing Folder: M-Bossabilities Garden Delight
Some gear wheels, Distress inks and some other stuff from my stash.

Thanks so much for taking time to drop by for a visit! I hope your weekend will continue fantastic!
Hugs, Birgit

With Love To You

måndag 10 februari 2014

Well hello there friends ...
today I have a "chocolate card" to display. The inspiration for it, I found in the magazine Ett Trykk and I thought it would be perfect now when it's Valentine's Day in a few days.
The paper that I have used, I have made myself using some stencils, stamps and different inks, Inka Golds and embossing pouder.

The Bird Swing image from Whimsy Stamps is colored with my Copics and the sentiment stamp are also from Whimsys Film Strip Sentiments collection.

I do not think I need to tell you much more about how I made this card. I will return with a more detailed view of how I made the background paper on Miss Agnes blog in a few days.

Take care of yourselves!
Hugs, Birgit

Like A Rainbow

onsdag 5 februari 2014

Hi there!
I'm back again and I still have no working die cut machine. I really do not like to be without it, and I do not understand how I managed without it before. Sigh....
Anyway, I have tried to make a card with a slightly different size in rainbow colors, and I wanted that the leaves should have a rain wet look. So after I had dyed my Wendy Vecchi Lovely Leaves stencil with Distress inks, I heated in clear embossing pouder and then I made small drops with Glossy Accents.

The sentiment stamp (From me to you) are from K-designs, and that was the end of yet another fun crafting time. Thanks for stopping by!
