Hi everyone!
Maybe I've been crazy but now I hastily made a OLC card for CAS on Sunday. I that are not even very good at CAS cards, I have a tendency to always add too much, ha ha... But now that it's done, I will post it:)

This card is made on watercolor paper with two stamps and 10 minutes.
Okay that´s all for me. Now I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!

1 Year Old

tisdag 29 december 2015

Hello crafty friends!
I hope you all had a great Christmas holiday, we enjoyed our Christmas and are now looking forward to the New Year holidays. But back to the card making and this card that I have made for a little guy who turns one year on New Year's Day.

I used a dotted embossing folder for the background and the sweet elephant was cut out with a Yvonne Creations die. I already had the little light lying on my working table so I just colored it up and added some glossy accents and glitter. I also cut out the sentiment with a die from Rox Stamps.
I´m greatful for your visit today and wishing you a Happy New Year!

A Card Filled With Warm Christmas Hugs

tisdag 22 december 2015

Hello and Merry Christmas week!
I´m sure all of you are as busy with holiday preparations as I´m here with me. However, it is very fun:) This is my last Christmas card for this year 2015.

I found inspiration and the template in the December issue of Papercraft Inspirations. I realy love the cool papa bear and combined him with Dixi Craft papers. The sentiment from Svenska Text Stämplar was first stamped on vellum, then heat embossed and cut out with one Joy Crafts Labels & Tags die. I also cut and punched out snowflakes that I added for a really wintry look.
Okay that´s all for me. Wishing you all a  MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hello there!
I'm counting down the days and projects to the big day! I took me some time to make this card with Milton from Wild Rose Studio that I want to share with you.

First I colored up the stamped image with my Copics and cut it out. Then I also used the "Cottage" die from Wild Rose Studio to create the background together with Dixi Craft papers.

I added some glossy accents, 3D snow and of course glitter to the image. The sentiment is from Inkido.
Okay.. back to the Christmas preparations to get everything ready:)
Wishing you a great Saturday, thanks for visiting!

Christmas Sparkling

tisdag 15 december 2015

Hi crafty friends!
Just a quick post this busy day. Now it´s soon time to mail off all the Christmas cards to family and friends. Maybe this is the last I have time to create before Christmas.

And it´s made for Muse:ChristmasVisions. I moved out the glitter to the edges and the red berries, instead the black ended up as twine for the tree decorations.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Gift Wrapping

söndag 13 december 2015

Happy Sunday everyone!
As I have already told you, I think it´s great fun to wrap packages and today I want to show an old tin can that I have saved and now altred up for a Christmas gift. I like to reuse things, if possible.

The nice paper around the can is from Dixi Craft and have a wonderful red color. I found the Santa image in my stash and placed it on the cap. Then I tied a ribbon/lace and twine with a clean and simple tag around the upper part.
That´s all for today. I hope you have a great weekend!

Let It Snow

torsdag 10 december 2015

Hi there crafters!
Still workin on with the christmas cards, it´s hard to believe that it´s only two weeks away. Today I´m sharing a card made with LeCreaDesigns 3D-dies.

I wanted a wintry backdrop in contrast to the warm and inviting fireplace so I took out the "Winter Flurry Frame" stencil from Memory Box and swiped it in with Iced Spruce Distress ink. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz "Mini Holidays" stamp set and was gold heat embossed. All die-cut details are colored with different Distress inks and then adhered with foam pads. I could not resist to add a pair of love mittens from Poppy Stamps to dry by the side of the fire. Okay that´s all for me.
Thanks to everyone for visiting my blog today, I hope you all have a nice season of Advent!

Hi crafty friends!
It's not often I do something for Tim Holtz even if it happens that I´m stopping by his blog sometimes to see new products and get some inspiration.

But now it has happened ... although I have made my tag in a not so distinctly vintage style. I have also chosen some lighter colors so that it will better match the Christmas gift where it will be attached. Instead of burlap, I used a different rough fabric that worked very well with the spray paint. Maybe I would have made the wreath a little bigger, at least I think so now afterwards when I look at it. Too late to change that now or...maybe I stick in some more twigs;)
Okay that´s all for me...thanks for visiting my blog today!

Snow For Christmas

fredag 4 december 2015

Hi everyone!
I´m back with another Christmas card. This time I used an image from Bo Bunny's "Sleigh Ride" paper and gave it a little different touch with the cute bunny made with a die from Marianne Design.

I added small black beads, as poo droppings:) The sentiment is made with a Mandys die and then inked with Distress Stain brushed pewter.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I appreciate it!

Christmas Gift - Handle With Care

onsdag 2 december 2015

Hi crafty friends!
Today I´m sharing a bag with a Christmas gift that I have made. If it looks a bit blurry in the photo, it´s because I wrote some names on the tag before I realized that I had not taken any photos, so I tried to blur a little.

First I folded a Graphic 45 paper that I found in my stash to a bag. Then I followed up with some other things that I thought matched the paper and closed the bag with a hefty clothespin.

I love to wrap Christmas gifts and make boxes and bags, so you'll probably get to see some more her on my blog before Christmas.
That´s all from me today. Have a great week!

Christmas Tag

tisdag 1 december 2015

Hello crafters!
Today I have a new tag made for Muse:ChrismasVisions. I think I've found most inspiration from Ardyths tag even if all the DT members had made fabulous tags. Unfortunately had The 25 Days of Christmas Tags losed when I would link up my entry there.

I used an old Christmas tree stamp from Reprint, resist technique and water colors to create this tag. A Mandy die was used to "God Jul".
Have a lovely day!

Don´t Forget Me...

måndag 30 november 2015

Hello everyone!
My, how the weeks are rushing now, tomorrow it's already December...I don´t know how that happened. Anyway, here is a real cutie who don´t want to be forgotten at Christmas...my heart melts:)

For this card, I colored up the adorable image with my Copics and combined it with Bo Bunnys Sleigh Ride papers. I cut "hello" out of glittery silver paper with a Mama Elephant die and for the sentiment I used a Joy Crafts speech bubble die. I also added some 3D snow and Star Dust Stickles. This was quite a easy card to make and I love how cute it turned out!

Silent Night

fredag 27 november 2015

Hello friends!
I´m popping in today for a quick share (it´s a busy time of year) to show this card where I have created a combination of textures and dimension by using embossing folder and dies.

First I cut out the cabinet with Tims Movers and Shapers die from a piece of shimmering cardstock. Then I used We R memory keepers "Gemstone" next lewel embossing folder to create a fantastic texture. I adhered it with 3 D foam over a background made with watercolors and snowflake stamps. The reindeer was cut with a die from Tims "Holiday Joy" stamp/die set, Memory Box "Traditional Stars" and Mandys "God Jul" dies are also used.
As always so grateful for your visit to my blog and I wish you a lovely weekend!

Christmas Altered Zink Box

söndag 22 november 2015

Hello crafters!
Ok, today I have an old zinc box to show that I have altered for Christmas, I intend to give away a Christmas gift in it. As usual when I get an idea, I get such a rush to get started that I totally forget to take a "before" picture.

But here is "after" my makeover. I started by painting the lid with white gesso to get a good base for the decoupage image which I then mounted. Then I went loose in my stash and had fun with dies, metal / ordinary flowers, etc.

I think that´s all that needs to be said about this project...sorry for the slightly gray photos, it was a bit poorly with daylight when they were taken. I hope you have had a great weekend!

Glittery Christmas

fredag 20 november 2015

Hello Crafters!
Here is another Christmas card with an old fashioned Santa, and perhaps the whole card goes in a bit unusual Christmas colors.

I found the image of Santa in my stash, I decided to combined it with papers from Webster´s Pages "A Christmas Story Collection, I think it´s from last year. Next, I had some fun with the Cozy Christmas "Jingle Bells" die to cut and create the bell banner. My sentiment is made with Mandys die. I think that's about it. As always, thanks so much for your visit!

Christmas Matchbox

onsdag 18 november 2015

Hello friends!
Today I have a quick post...with another Christmas altered matchbox. This is a little smaller than the one I showed a few days ago.

I used papers from Bo Bunnys "Sleigh Ride" collection. For the edge at the top I used Tim Holtz Alterations "Boughs of Holly" die and Distress inks. I also made a mini tag stamped with a small Christmas greeting which were adhered with twine and red berries. At the top of the box I added 3D snow and sprinkled over glitter.

Okay then ... the reindeer got some glitter on his horns ... and on the frame :)
Now I'm ready. Thank you so much for looking today!

Merry Christmas

måndag 16 november 2015

Hello Crafters!
It´s time again for another fun challenge over at Muse: Christmas Visions, this week Chriss Blagrave is our Muse and I have created a card that I want to share.

It is not easy to "Take great pictures of your card" and therefore it is the challenge at Ett Trykk right now. They give a lot of tips on how to make the pictures better. Now I had not much time today to try different things, but one photo is taken with an angle and I also styled a little on one side.

The second is taken from straight ahead with a blurred background, I might have used a neutral background instead, to see the difference better. I think I'll try with another card in the future.
Supply list:
Memory Box Winter Flurry Frame Stencil
Tim Holtz Alterations Holiday Greens dies
Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poisettia die
Poppy Stamps Berry Sprig die
Inkido sentiment stamp
White embossing pouder, Distress inks, Star Dust Stickles, Dylusions Sprays

Whishing you a wonderful day!

It´s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

lördag 14 november 2015

Hi everyone!
Today I have a large matchbox to show you that I have dressed up for the winter and Christmas time. Either I give it away ... or I keep it myself:)

I used some nice old papers from Panduro that I found in my stash to both front and backside, then I decorated them a little different. The sentiment from Marianne design were die cut and then filled in with a Zig Writer chalk pen.

To the other side, I used a couple of metal decorations including one from Tim Holtz. The box got beautiful rich colors  with the flowers in a little vintage / retro style that I think is great for Christmas.
Thanks so much for looking, I hope you all have a great weekend!

Fire

onsdag 11 november 2015

Hello Crafters!
Happy Wednesday to you! Today I'll show you something else than Christmas projects, and it´s the challenge over at Less is More, that has inspired me to make this card.

I have used a lot of orange, yellow, and some red Distress inks together with Tim Holtz "Rays" stencil. I also added embossing powders in copper and aged gold. For the sentiment I used a Mama Elephant die, I adhered the lower panel with foam pads for a raised effect. And that´s it I think, I finished of with a golden sequin.
Now to the question...Is it a fire or is it a sunrise / sunset? Well, it is for you to decide:)

Deck The Halls...

måndag 9 november 2015

Hello crafters!
Let me first of all thank Muse: ChristmasVisions for my guest designing there last week, it was so fun to see what everyone created and I can only conclude that there is so much creativity out there among you. Thanks!

And of course I also want to join this week when Kimberly Wiener is our Muse. I tried to stick to the theme, although I did not have any cat. I found this old reindeer stamp instead which also looks a little tired, poor thing. At first I thought about a one-layer card but I changed my mind and added a strip of silver paper behind the front panel for a little more interest. I also added some snow and glitter, I have, as usual, a bit difficult to resist the glitter on the Christmas cards:)

When You Stop Believing In Santa You Get Socks For Christmas...

söndag 8 november 2015

Hello crafters!
Here are two cozy winter friends from the Penny Black stamps which give each other some "Holiday Hugs". I colored them with my Copics and then cut out the image. Then I adhereded it with some glittery snow paper before...

...I added it to the background with foam pads, which I first had created with Xcut Star embossing folder and blue Distress inks. Love the dimensional stars that makes the winter scene in the background perfect. The sentiment stamp is from K-designs and was white heat embossed.
Today is Father's Day here with me so I and my husband look forward for a lovely visit from our shildren, and I will myself go and visit my own father. It´s going to be a great day! I hope you all enjoy a great day too!

Hello everyone!
Today I have a new cute card to show. Well the stamp from Wild Rose Studio isn´t new, I think it's from last year but it´s the first time I color it up.

I cut out the image by hand and used a die from Rox Stamps for the sentiment.

måndag 2 november 2015

Hello crafters!
It's Monday again, Halloween is over and a new week has begun. But in the past weekend I got some crafting time to make some new Christmas cards, this is the first I want to show you.

I love this myself, created with gorgeous Christmas Pattern/Blue papers from Dixi Craft and the Marianne design house die LR0353. I added a black die cut behind the white to create a shadow effect. Next I stamped the K-design sentiment in red. The star was cut out with a Memory Box die from glitter paper and I finished by adding a sequin and a black enamel dot.
Okay that´s all for me. Wishing you all a happy day!

Christmas Tag

söndag 1 november 2015

Hello there!
Today I´ve created a tag for 12 Tags of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style - Week #5. I decided to go all in for the sparkly and scribbly with distress inks and embossing paste.

I used Tim Holtz Christmas stencil, and for more sparkle I even mixed glitter and silver Distress Stains in the embossing paste before adding it to the tag:)

Then the whole tag was colored with diluted Evergreen Bough Distress ink, and the edges were sponged with darker brown and black. All glittery elements are cut out with different dies from Memory Box and Mandys. A couple of Tims chitchat words and of course, the tree charm and seam binding finished of this tag.

Hi there!
I am honored and grateful to have been invited to join along as a guest designer on the  Muse: ChristmasVisions blog today. Thank you so much Ardyth for the fantastic invite!

I made two cards for the challenge and asked Ardyth to pick one of these two for the challenge, but she could not decide. So this week, you can choose one of these two creations for your inspiration, or if you´re feeling really courageous - combine them!

I hope you find inspiration from my creations and want to join the challenge, you have one week to create and link up over HERE.

A Deer Surprise

onsdag 28 oktober 2015

Hello and welcome!
I hope you all have a good week so far, and that you also get some crafting done. I myself have amused me by making a new card with Cecilia Wikings lovely reindeer stamps, I really love them.

I colored the image with Copics and cut it out, then I created the background using Distress inks, a stencil and and an old spruce stamp. The snow is cut out with Mama Elephant border dies and on top I added some 3D snow.

I also stamped and cut out the trees in front with Tim Holtz Alterations Holiday Joy stamp/die set. I finished of by splattering over some white color for a snowing look. You do not see it, but the card sparkles very beautifully and the package is shining because I gave it a layer glossy accents too.

Joy For Christmas

måndag 26 oktober 2015

Hello there!
It is time for a MUSE:ChristmasVisions card again, and this time Betty Wright really put me to the test. I've been looking all over for Christmas bells but I really do not have any, neither as stamps, dies or even on some cut-out sheet. So I tried to find something else and just focus on the notes and colors. This is my first attempt and it became not good I think ...

... so then I tried to make a new more simple card, but it became not good either...so now I give up actually.

This second card've really not so much in common with Bettys card ha, ha. I hesitated a long time before publishing them at all. So I don´t want to talk more about this, bye for now.
Hugs, Birgit

Monster Hello

fredag 23 oktober 2015

Hello there!
Happy Friday to you! I fell in love with the stamp set from Your Next Stamp called "Silly Monsters" and I just had to buy them.

I used Copics to colour up one of them and cut it out, then I added a thick layer of glossy accents to the eyes and tongue for more interest.

I wanted a colorful backdrop to my monster and found this Color Explosion paper from K-designs in my stash, perfect right, I thought so anyway:) I die cut the Mama Elephant sentiment twice and glued them together for some more dimension. One black enamel dot finished of the card.
Thanks for stoppin´by - hope you get a nice weekend!

Tag For A Man

onsdag 21 oktober 2015

Hello there crafters!
Here I have tried to stick to the neutral colors when I have made a tag in a more masculine style.

I started with one of the smaller (ready to use) manila tags that are available to buy at the craft store. I stamped it with a couple of stamps in the new Distress ink Hickory Smoke and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo. I also colored in the Seam Binding with the same colors.

I continued with the paper pocket and stamped it in a similar way. I also stamped a butterfly, cut it out and added to the stamped straws. Next I die cut the feather with Spellbinders Nestabilities and heated in Stampendous Aged Gold embossing pouder at the outer end. I edged the feather with Black Soot and attached it with a enamel dot. The sentiment is from Vilda Stamps.
