Between Bills & Advertising, Here Comes A Letter With A Hug!

torsdag 29 september 2016

Hi there friends!
Hope you are having a good week. Just a quick post from me today to share this card, with a lot of color, made for The Paper Players sketch challenge.
I used a paper from K-Designs Color Explosion collection for the background, and an old Crafty Individuals stamp for the image. I colored it up with my Copics, added a little Glossy Accents and stamped the Gummiapan sentiment underneath. I also added an old postage stamp and postmarked it with a stamp from Rox Stamps. Thanks for the visit today.
Have yourselves a lovely week!
Hugs, Birgit

Thread

Hello crafters!
I´m back and sharing a card for Less is More where "Thread" is the item to use in this weeks recipe challenge.
I have used one of the dies from My Favourite Things "Stitched Scallop Basic Edges" set, and then stitched by hand through the holes. Next I die cut the "congrats" sentiment with a Moa Pyssel die and adhered it with foam tape for dimension, I backed it with old Inkido newspaper print paper. The spool with thread is from an old Marianne Design Eline´s Winter Huis stamp set, I colored it with  Copics and finished the card by adding some Glossy Accents to the spool.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit

Hi friends!
Today I have a card in shabby chic/flower power style to share, where I have used a piece of fabric instead of designer paper. I must say it's been a while since I made a card with flowers and other embellishments.
I used Memory Box "Straight Stitches" dies to create the background to...the car which is made with the Lawn Fawn "Home for the Holidays" stamps set. I colored up with my Copics and some Glossy Accents. The sentiment is stamped with a Panduro stamp. Okay that´s all for me, I think you can see how the card is built up.
Thanks for your visit here today!
Hugs, Birgit

What Do You Mean Santa Has Enough Reindeer?

fredag 23 september 2016

Hello there crafters!
It's always fun to create cards for Muse:ChristmasVisions, you never know what´s coming up and this week it´s a wonderful and fun card by Cornelia Wenokor:)
My card is almost a copy of her card except that I have replaced the penguin against this cute digi dog image. I used the same trees from Tim Holtz as she, except that I used the stamp instead of the embossing folder. After stamping I clear heat embossed them and created the shadows by adding some gray watercolor. The dog is colored with Copics, Glossy Accents and Diamond Stickles. I also added a little 3D snow and finished of with some rhinestones.
I hope you will have a nice weekend and as always, thanks for visiting my blog today!
Hugs, Birgit

Fairy Wishes

onsdag 21 september 2016

Hello there!
Thank you so much for dropping by my blog. I am very happy to share today´s card created with a beautiful Lavinia Stamp I just got in my hand.
First I stamped and heat embossed the fairy on watercolor paper, then I painted the background with mostly blue and purple watercolors. I thought that there must be some glitter, so I gave the wings and flowers a bit of  Star Dust Stickles. Next I tore off a piece of white cardstock, sponged the edge with black Distress ink and placed it under her. At the top I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of leftover paper. I added some clear sequins to finish of the project.
I hope you have a lovely day!
Hugs, Birgit!

Happy Birthday

tisdag 20 september 2016

Hi everyone!
When I saw the Diamonds theme for this week´s Less is More challenge, I was a little hesitant to give it a try. And I don´t know if the result is a little too finished for that challenge, even if I tried to ceep it simple.

Anyway, I hope you like this. I have used Studio 490 Wendy Vecchis Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend stencil and white Embossing Paste to the panel. Once dry, I added Distress inks in some brown colors with my blending tool. The Rox Stamps sentiment is white heat embossed on black cardstock. I added die cuts made with Memory Box dies, Fresh Foliage and Prim Poppy. I finished of with a few pearls to add the bling factor.
That´s it from me, have a great day!
Hugs, Birgit

Wish You A Merry Christmas

fredag 16 september 2016

Hi there crafters!
Today I have a new card for Muse:ChristmasVisions and this week's challenge by Chriss Blagrave, where she has been using yarn for her card.
I got an idea that I could use one of Spellbinders Shapeabilities Nested Lacey Pennants dies to create something with holes, where I could thread something thru. Ok done, now the question was what I should thread through the holes and I found some old paper twine in different colors that I think got perfect. It appears not so good on the photo, but I have used a Rox Stamps die on white glitter paper for the sentiment and the star so it shimmers beautifully.
Okay that´s all for me today. Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs, Birgit

Merry Christmas In Castle And Cottage

tisdag 13 september 2016

Hello and welcome back!
Ok, today I have two cards to show, both inspired by Kimberly Wiener's Muse:ChristmasVisions card. First, I felt that I was a bit tired of wreaths so I tried to find something else that could be used instead, and the choice fell on the snowman globe from Woodware. But.....it's supposed to be a wreath, so after a while I decided to make a new card...
...and this time I used the Tim Holtz Alterations Regal Crest die to create this one...
...and which is best do you think? I link up both:)
Have a wonderful day!

Hello there crafters!
Today I'll try to be quick with the blog post. This weeks OLC challenge at Less is More is "Yor favorite flower". Now it´s so that I don´t have any particular favorite so therefore I have chosen wildflowers that I think can be just as beautiful as the garden grew.

I have used two stencils, the ARTplorations Bloom Silhouettes and the ScrapBerry´s with dots together with Distress inks. The flowers got a layer Glossy Accents, and the Gummiapan sentiment was stamped in green and then clear heat. Okay, that´s all for me.
Have a great Sunday!
Hugs, Birgit

No One Can Be Down With A Balloon

torsdag 8 september 2016

Hello there crafters!
I'm glad to see you here on my blog today so that there is someone who wants to see what I want to share. :)
I have used some digi ballons from Dragons Lair Designs that I colored up with my Copics, added Glossy Accents and spread over loose glitter before it dried. Then I cut them out by hand.
Next I created a frame by using two Die-namics Inside/Out Stitch Oval dies and adhered both the frame and the balloons with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment from Gummiapan and placed it underneath. I also added a red ribbon and gold sequins to finish of my card.
Okay, that´s all for me today, enjoy your week!

We Wish You A Joyful Christmas

måndag 5 september 2016

Hello there crafters!
They have a new challenge over at Muse:ChristmasVisions, and I don´t want to miss it ... this week either:)
I started with stamping the Inkido sentiment in the middle and I think that was a mistake, I should have started with the mouse and then masked it so that all the text ended up behind the mouse. But that´s something I didn´t saw before the card was finished, I thought then that something looked strange, ha,ha. Besides that, I´m satisfied with my card. I have used parts of some different Stampendous and Panduro stamps together with 3D snow and glitter Stickles to create it. And now that I've told you about the part of the card that I'm not satisfied with, I think it's the only thing you will see too ... right?
Thanks for the visit and have a great day!
Hugs, Birgit

A Resounding HIP HURRAY To You On Your Birthday Today!

fredag 2 september 2016

Hi everyone, and Happy Friday!
Today I have to be quick so it will be a short post. This card is to a man who turns 30 years and I chose some autumn colors for him.
I used Spellbinders Shapeabilities dies to cut the feathers out of cardstock that I first had colored in with Distress inks. Then I painted white dots and added a layer Glossy Accents and some glitter. The numbers were made with Mama Elephant dies and behind the panel I adhered a wide dotted washi tape. Sentiment stamp from  Svenska Textstämplar. Ok, that´s all for me today. Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Birgit
